"Monte Carlo Condominiums feature 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, and a fully equipped kitchen for preparing your own meals. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and WiFi access in common areas and within the condominiums. There's also a washer and dryer. The balcony, BBQ area, and pool are perfect for relaxation.

Inside the condominiums, you can enjoy the spacious living room with comfortable furniture. There's also cable TV with channels in Spanish and English. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, pots, and pans, etc.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed with a private bathroom. This bedroom has direct access to the balcony. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, a TV, and its own closet. The balcony also has seating furniture to simply enjoy the great view of the complex.

Our guests have access to a gated parking lot with 24-hour security, a BBQ area with a gas grill, a self-service bar, pool, jacuzzi, and a small baby pool. The pool area also has plenty of chairs around the terrace for sitting and relaxing, enjoying the sun, or simply reading a book.

There's also a concierge office within the complex where you can book tours, restaurants, car rentals, transportation, etc. The office is open every day. Our friendly staff will make you feel at home.

I'm on concierge duty Monday through Friday. Karen and Beatrice are part of the staff attending seven days a week from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm.

Playa Jacó is the nearest beach to San José, the Central Valley, and one of Costa Rica's most visited coastal destinations. The beach spans 4 kilometers (2.5 miles), offering world-renowned surfing and more. Like Costa Rica's metropolitan areas, Jacó offers most services such as a post office, health center, and branches of major banks. There are also many surf shops, affordable hotels, and restaurants for budget travelers as well as those seeking a more luxurious experience.

Activities include surfing, swimming, deep-sea fishing, ATV tours, bike rentals, horseback riding, crocodile safaris, national parks and reserves, boat and kayak tours, rafting, canopy tours, and a vibrant nightlife. With so much to offer, it's no wonder Jacó remains as popular as ever.

Nearby, Playa Herradura, just 4.4 miles (7 km) to the north, offers a quieter atmosphere than Jacó Beach. Additionally, just south of Jacó is Playa Hermosa, a quieter 10-kilometer (6-mile) stretch of black sand beach loved by both sunbathers and surfers. This is where the Quicksilver International Championship takes place every August. The Playa Hermosa Wildlife Refuge is the chosen beach for olive ridley turtles that come ashore to nest each year.

If you're looking for a quieter hotel location, we recommend these surrounding coastal towns. Carara Biological Reserve is only 15 km (9.3 miles) north of Jacó. With several kilometers of trails open to visitors (some only with a tour group), it's a great place to observe much of Costa Rica's wildlife. Early morning or late afternoon is usually the best time to see the wealth of scarlet macaws resting among the mangroves. You can also see crocodiles, white-faced monkeys, peccaries, coatis, and a wide variety of birds. The park opens at 7 am and closes at 5 pm. The entrance fee is $6.

The Tarcoles River, which borders the park and flows into the Pacific Ocean, is an incredible place to get up close to the American crocodile. Boat tours are offered to see the crocodiles, many of which reach several meters in length! At the mouth of the Tarcoles River, the Guacalillo mangrove plays a vital role in the survival of many wildlife species that can be observed here.

Manuel Antonio National Park is a short drive from Jacó, majestically located 43 miles (69 km) south. Punta Leona Wildlife Refuge is another place where visitors have good chances of seeing wildlife, located along the road north of Jacó towards the town of Tarcoles.

However, in Jacó there are concerns about drugs, crime, and prostitution. Being aware of your surroundings and using common sense will help you avoid undesirable situations. You can easily walk around town or take red taxis and pay the service fee, which is very reasonable. You can also take buses to some of the main attractions. Monte Carlo has a central location. No car is required. There is a supermarket just 100 meters away. Additionally, you can walk to all the restaurants, shops, famous banks and the beach is just 3 blocks away. Monte Carlo staff will help you arrange all your holiday. We pick you up at the airport, rent a condominium, book your tours, help you with things to do in town, ideas on how to discover Costa Rica and we also organize your transportation back to the airport
